What is PDR you ask?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) a technique that allows for the removal of a wide range of damage from the vechicle’s body while keeping the factory paint surface intact.
Paintless Dent Repair can be performed on both aluminum and steel panels, the most common use of this method is for the repair of hail damage, door dings, minor creases and large dents and body damage.
PDR is not a new techquic, though it has become more main stream. This practice of dent removal was first used in 1931 by Frank T. Sargent, Frank wrote a groundbreaking book called ‘The Key To Metal Bumping’
This technique uses metal rods and body picks to push out the dents from the underside of the body panels, though this sounds fairly simple it does years of practicing this skill to become a mastercraftsmen of it.
